The missing link
Redcar Rangers working with the Neighbourhood Redcar & Cleveland Managment team have spent February & March collecting rubbish along the Marske to Saltburn and Hazelgrove dene down to the beach.
NCN1 Saltburn - Marske

The newly resurfaced track from Brotton under the Coast guard cottages on the top of Huntcliff and on through Saltburn to Marske has been professionally signed by the Sustrans Redcar & Cleveland Rangers .

NCN1 Brotton - Huntcliff

Sustrans Ranger Richard Mann 80 year old, retired civil engineer, seen in the picture repairing the NCN1 track at Marske by the sea. Walkers, cyclists and horses riders naturally cut corners. But no trouble for Richard, with a shovel, some cinder top dressing and a dry mix of cement (six to one), once compacted creates an adhered but high grip surface for bikes, horses and walkers.
