Whitehaven to Sunderland on May 20th-22nd 2011

The ride will be a self contained support yourself adventure with panniers carrying your light weight tent, sleeping bag, water proofs, first aid and puncture repair kit etc. If you ride with a friend this weight of kit can be shared making the event far more pleasurable.

Sign & Ride Day - 9th April 2011
Redcar & Cleveland Rangers will once again this year be manning a Sustrans Information Stand at the Guisborough Forest Festival at Pnchinthorpe on Sunday 11th September from 10am to 4pm.

Sustrans are working in earnest to plug the gap between Whitby and Staithes. Several surveys have been done in 2010 this March will see two further surveys on the best possibility Aislaby to Kettleness and the alternative Kildale to Kiltonthorpe Brotton.

The missing link
Redcar Rangers working with the Neighbourhood Redcar & Cleveland Managment team have spent February & March collecting rubbish along the Marske to Saltburn and Hazelgrove dene down to the beach.

The newly resurfaced track from Brotton under the Coast guard cottages on the top of Huntcliff and on through Saltburn to Marske has been professionally signed by the Sustrans Redcar & Cleveland Rangers .

Redcar & Cleveland Rangers rode from Staithes to Redcar on the first of our NCN1 signing & ride days.

We renewed the signs where the old ones had faded or had become damaged along the route. Andy Edwards rode from the North while Brian & Ian rode from Boulby above Staithes. 
We will be organizing Fresh Air Mile Rides throughout the day for Families and Adults, more details to follow.
