We now have a new backpackers and cyclist Campsite at Redcar by the Sea
It affords excellent
access with a wonderful Club house and Bar within a very green and well maintained pleasant field.Situated at the Redcar Rugby Union football Club, 
Green Lane, Redcar, TS10 3RW Telephone 01642 482733 Rugby 

Please phone the Club Steward to pre-book 01642 482733. No access without pre-booking.
Showers are available in the evening as is the Club Bar. Meals are available at weekends only by pre-booking
Price per tent/pitch £5:00 for 2011 Price is by tent/pitch and not by person.
The Grounds of the club are well fenced with secure access.

On Tuesday 2nd November 2011 was the official opening ceremony of the re-routed NCN1 through Eston and Grangtown.

Pictured above is the Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland (Olwyn Peters) with Sustrans Rangers and staff from Redcar & Cleveland council.

The route now takes you along Birchington Avenue, Grangtown avoiding the pinch points on the Eston Greenway.
